To amend the composition of the Campus-Specific Budget Committees in the Constitution

SECTION I. Short Title
This bill may be cited as the “Campus-Specific Budget Committees Composition Act of 2011”

SECTION II. Purpose
The purpose of this amendment is to change the composition of the Campus-Specific Budget Committees to actually reflect the budget approval process of the Student Government Association.

ARTICLE VIII

University Wide Council

Section 6         Campus-Specific Budget Committees
A. The purpose of the Campus-Specific Budget Committees shall be to draft the budget for their respective SGC.
B. SGC-MMC Budget Committee shall be composed of the SGC President, Vice President,
Speaker of the Senate, Comptroller, and the Finance Chair. Speaker Pro Tempore. SGC-BBC Budget Committee shall be composed of the SGC-BBC President, Vice President, Speaker of the Senate, Comptroller, and the Speaker Pro Tempore.
C. The budget for MMC and Engineering Center shall be proposed by the SGC-MMC Budget Committee; the budget for BBC and Broward Pines center shall be proposed by the SGC-BBC Budget Committee.
D. The SGC-MMC budget shall be approved by two thirds (2/3) vote of the SGC-MMC Senate; the SGC-BBC budget shall be approved by two thirds (2/3) vote of the SGC-BBC Senate.
E. In the case either Senate of SGC-MMC or SGC-BBC does not approve the proposed budget, the budget shall be sent back to the SGC-specific budget committee; the corresponding SGC budget committee shall edit and re-propose the budget until it is approved by the appropriate Senate and signed by the Vice President of Student Affairs.

Proviso: This Constitutional Amendment shall be enacted under the special powers granted to the Vice President of Student Affairs under Article XII, Section 1, subsections E and F, therefore this Constitutional Amendment shall not need to pass the UWC nor be placed on the ballot for the next election as the budget process is imminent.
